The DDA was instrumental in facilitating the collaboration between the Garfield County Library District, Colorado Mountain College and the City to co-locate these facilities in the downtown between 9th and Grand and 9th and Cooper. Without the DDA’s involvement, the City risked losing the library to a location outside the downtown area. As a part of this planning process, the City and DDA also developed a public parking lot on Cooper helping to address critical parking demands in the downtown core.
